The deer are everywhere right now, they pick and choose which garden they will go to next with a keen eye for the delicate new buds...they so enjoyed the fresh growth on my favourite hydrangea that is displayed on our deck. I guess I will wait for flowers until next year...sigh.

I started with a rust underpainting. The original photo had a much lighter background, I decided to darken it and add a little more interest. Though I see deer all the time where I live, I never tire of their innocent look...ok, maybe only after they have been  in my garden enjoying my flowers.
