Six am every morning I head to the computer,  yesterday I was up even earlier for some reason.  I opened my emails and it was like receiving a present. A friend of a friend had sent me pictures of her dogs, her sisters dogs, her friends dog and her parents dog.  The pictures are all fantastic and the dogs have such personality.  Sometimes it is such a challenge to find the perfect picture that you are excited to paint so when you receive so many that it is hard to chose it is such a thrill.   Here is the first painting of many.

This is Duchess who is no longer with us, she was owned by a friend of mine.  She was a very majestic looking cat, her eyes were a very pale green…just beautiful.
