As I was finishing my painting I noticed I just automatically chose more fall colours. It is so interesting how the seasons affect me, one slight shift in the weather and the colours...all good to be in the creative process.

GLORIOUS DISTRACTION

24 x 24 inch oil
on 2 inch wrapped black canvas
$600.00

This is another overpainted canvas, there is so much more depth when you are working on something that from the start already has so much going on.  It is a little more difficult when you first start mapping out your painting but then things just start coming together.

HAPPY HAPPY SPRING

12 X 12 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
175.00

Another painting that I did about 4 years ago, I liked the colours but not the composition so I sketched over with the daffodils and made a new paining.  I love all the extra interest because of the original painting peeking though in spots. This is definitely a great way to recycle your canvas.
