This is another beautiful Vancouver Island scene.  I started this painting with a cadmium red light wash on the panel.  Doing an underpainting always adds to the interest, especially when the canvas is so small.

I have been so inspired by the lovely weather we have been having that I got in my car and drove around taking pictures.  Vancouver Island really does have some of the most beautiful scenery...I never take for granted the beauty that I live in.
