NEW

6 x 8 inch oil
on 1/8th inch thick gesso board
$95.00

Another perfect day for painting a bunny.  This was a little bit of a challenge because the bunny was mostly bright white in the photo, I played with the shadows and  added a few subtle details and the bunny just seemed to come alive.

THE LOVE MACHINE

6 x 6 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
SOLD

This rabbit was a joy to paint, so much movement, the fur going every which way and the whiskers just a little bit out of control.  As for the name?... it was my husband who chose it.

PRETTY IN GREEN

6 x 8 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
SOLD

I haven't painted a bunny for awhile...today was the day.  I started this painting extra loose and just dragged the brush every which way for the body.  I find if I get too detailed with fur it doesn't work well.

DAYDREAMING DAISIES

6 x 6 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
SOLD

It seems everywhere I go I see a bunny in someones garden, I think they are as excited about spring as us humans.

Im into you ...and your garden

size 6 x 8 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
$75.00

Another animal I absolutely love, but like our deer they use our gardens as a restaurant.  It is interesting how quickly they can nibble away any plant.  Today I painted with very messy stokes, I was trying to give more interest.

PROUD MAMA

6 x 8 inch
oil on 1/8th canvas board
SOLD

I spent the day at my studio and already decided that I would paint a bunny...maybe because Easter is just around the corner.  I started with a black gesso board, I tried to keep my strokes really loose.

NOBLE HEART

6 x 8 inches
oil on 1/8th inch gessobord
SOLD

This painting has a mauve under painting, more tricky than using burnt umber.  The colours look completely different, but it is a good challenge.

FLUFFY a.k.a. THE NIBBLER

6 x 8 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gessobord
SOLD

I tried to keep the strokes simple and few.  I tend to always go back to my painting and add a little something when I should just quit.

I haven't painted for a couple of weeks so today I headed to my easel and decided it was time to paint another bunny.
