The photo for this is thanks to my husband. It is the CPR lookout just past Qualicum beach. the scenery is every changing depending on the time of day. I loved the light on these trees surrounded by so many lush greens.

A beautiful day in QB so it seemed fitting to paint a bunny. Although they think my garden is their restaurant I still love them.

So I brought out the big paintbrushes for this big canvas.  After painting quite a few 6 x 6 inch landscapes it was really helpful to set up this painting. I used an indian yellow for the underpainting which just warmed everything up against all the blue.

Ok, I admit that I am addicted to painting landscapes. They are the perfect subject, I just keep colour blocking and the scene appears. They are forging because nothing is the same in nature when it hasn't been touched by us humans. Every cedar is shaped differently with their jagged and and all over the place branches every which way. They are all unique but somehow enhance each other... a testament to belonging.

I have been noticing the sky and the amazing cloud formations lately. So today was cloud painting day. I started with a pink underpainting. Another favourite colour lately is radian violet, it adds a little more interest to the sky.
