COOK STREET

6 x 6 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
SOLD

I took this photo in Victoria, one of my very favourites cities. I want to paint more houses with serious shadow, I left out quite a bit of the detail at the front of the house just trying to focus on the larger blocks of colour...challenging for me but really enjoyed painting this.

Cow 134 UNDIVIDED ATTENTION

6 x 8 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
$75.00

For this painting I used a smaller brush than I usually do and I also added cad yellow deep to my palette which makes the beautiful rich greens and just gives the golds a little more punch.

Cow 133 PINING FOR YOU

6 x 8 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
$75.00

I decided to use a purple under painting for this painting, I like how it adds so much interest to the white face. This is the fourth time I have painted this cow, I just love her colouring and her expressive face.

Cow 132 ME AND MY SHADOW

6 x 6 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
SOLD

These cows were grazing at a property close to where we live, the little one looks just a little standoffish.  Whenever I add more than one subject to a painting it seems a little tricky, the challenge for me is making my brush stokes so small.  I end up spending more time on the detail.

MISS CONGENIALITY

6 X 6 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
$60.00

My second painting of this very photogenic cow, she has so many great poses.  I used a different brush than I usually use same size just much longer bristles...challenging, it is amazing how differently you paint by just changing your brush.

I was just in London and so enjoyed seeing the rows of homes with wonderful different coloured doors.  I tried to keep this painting really simple.

Cow 130 GREETINGS HUMAN

6 x 6 inch
oil on 1/8th inch gesso board
SOLD

Yesterday my husband went for a run and came back with some great photos of the cows by his running route. This one was my favourite, she is clearly very photogenic and loves to get her picture taken...and also very curious.
