PARKSVILLE VIEW
| 6 x 8 inch oil on 1/8th inch gesso board $85.00
This photo is from a property in Parksville, some of the most beautiful views to be had when the weather is cooperating. I am becoming more and more fond of painting landscapes, starting with such simple shapes and just laying down the colours to create from the photo what you envision the completed painting will be.

OVERLOOKING SALTSPRING
| 10 x 10 inch oil on 3/4 inch wrapped canvas SOLD |
Yesterday I took the day off from painting and watched a video of Daniel J Keys, one of my very favourite artists. I tried incorporating some tips I have learned, I have watched the video several times and always pick up something new. I took this photo a few months ago, it was quite a grey day but still so beautiful, I took the liberty of adding more colour than was actually present. I really enjoyed working on a large(for me) canvas as my usual size is 6 x 6 inch.
