I approached this painting differently, I used very little white at the beginning while mixing my paints and started the underpainting with much more saturated colour...learning more every day.

This little lovely was getting a well deserved rest after spending a good part of her day showing her stuff at the fall fair. I love the colouring of this cow, quite unique to our area...wonderful to paint.

I have painted this cow many times...very photogenic.  He lives not far from here and is often hanging around by the fence.  I used just a handful of primary colours for this painting...sometimes less is definitely more.
