I look forward every year to our local market, especially for the flowers that our wonderful farmers devote so much of their time to growing. I chose 3 amazing sunflowers to bring home, they have so much personality and movement.  The name just popped into my head...I think I was listening to Donna Summer.

My husband took this photo at Nanoose edibles where we get much of our produce.  They plant a huge row of sunflowers every year and they are spectacular.  I used a black panel to start and ultra marine blue,cad med light,cad yellow pale and titanium white.  Again, it is a really good exercise to use a limited palette, keeps you focused on the colour you are using.
