This work falls between abstract and impressionism. I am so enjoying playing with all these colours and shapes and then just adding a simple flower or two to the mix. The beauty of art is you can do exactly what you want, there is no right or wrong.

Today and tomorrow I am doing a workshop with Eumni Conacher, it is so interesting, and outside the box for me...anything goes.

After a morning of lecture, painting, demo and much lively conversation it was time to start a floral painting which is what Eumni is known for and what we had all been waiting for.  O.K. she said, you have 30 minutes to do your painting... what, at first I panicked, but it is so freeing to only have a set time, you don't have any time to think, you just have to go with your gut and put that paint on the canvas. This is the painting.
