Another floral, I had taken a picture of these flowers in the fall, it was still really warm then and they were still going strong.

On my living room mantel I have 4 empty frames set up and when I finish a painting it goes into one of the frames so I can get the full impact.  I am particularly pleased with this painting, I like that every corner of the canvas is full of colour and movement, I think the pattern would make a great duvet cover.  The more I paint the more I look forward to painting.

The last couple of days have been flowers, the weather is still quite lovely here and I am sure that spring is just around the corner.  I am pleased with this painting, I like the colours and the composition.

It was an absolutely beautiful spring day yesterday so I had the urge to paint flowers, of course I chose tulips...my very favourite.  I love the simplicity of this painting.

I was at my studio today working away on this cow painting, one of my friends came to visit took a look at the cow and said it belongs in a children's story book.

I haven't painted for about a week and it wasn't for  lack of trying.  It seemed that every time I picked up my brush after about an hour the canvas would end up being wiped or going into the garbage.  This morning I headed into my studio unsure of the outcome, I am happy with this painting, I used a bright purple underpainting and changed up my usual colours.

I used a purple underpainting which I am going to do more often,  I like the outcome, it just seems to give a richness to everything.
