 I don't use much red  in my paintings, but I decided to change up my go to colour choices a little.  I like the outcome, this painting turned out so vibrant even more so in real life.

A gloomy day here so I just had to paint flowers.  I never thought of putting a rhodo in a flower arrangement until I went to London to visit my daughter, we were out for dinner and there was a huge vase full of them...beautiful.

It is a beautiful sunny day here so I was in the mood to paint something cheerful.  I have had this photo for months, I rarely paint a single flower but am really pleased how this one turned out.  Sometimes it gives more impact to just have one subject on a small panel.
