I usually use a more limited palette but for this painting I just kept adding bits of more and more colour, the more I added the more I wanted to add. I love experimenting and with these abstracts, you can go anywhere. The canvas is so small but the painting seems so big.

This painting was originally of a large vase with flowers, I didn't have the urge to do the little happy dance that usually follows after I complete a painting so I decided to overpaint it with an abstract floral and immediately had that urge to dance...yay

I am so enjoying using gesso to cover large paintings that I was never too fond of, even better is re-using them to play with colour on such a large scale, such a departure from what I usually paint. It is always good to try something new...gets those creative juices flowing even more.
