I tried to really focus on keeping this painting soft. Because I enjoy painting bold colours so much this was a challenge but I am really happy with the outcome. Sometimes less is more.

I decided not to be over-detailed on this painting and I like the outcome. We all tend to think we see more than we can actually see, especially when we are looking at art from a distance. The looseness really gave this little painting the feeling of movement.

I have been noticing the sky and the amazing cloud formations lately. So today was cloud painting day. I started with a pink underpainting. Another favourite colour lately is radian violet, it adds a little more interest to the sky.

These beautiful sunflowers are from the Nanoose Edibles farm, one of my favourite places to go for greens.There was a long row of these beauties that were just swaying in the breeze...so carefree and simply lovely.

Today was a robin painting day, they love hanging out under our plum tree. I used a limited palette and kept things simple.
