This little bird is on top of the world.  Because I did so much detail on this small bird I wanted to leave the background colour very subtle.

I find myself painting more of an abstract background for these little birds.  I really enjoy deciding which colours to add even the ones that I just use a tiny little hint of...they make the little painting sing.
