More roses from Jewels garden, she just moved into her new house and was so thrilled to see all the roses. I had to make my way through a  prickly garden to get the coral rose...it was so worth  it.

These beautiful roses are from my friend Jewel's garden, the lovely orangey yellowy colours looked amazing with my turquoise vase.  I am finding that when you are painting flowers with layers of petals you just need to suggest the shape without getting too busy with your paint strokes.

These amazing peonies were a gift from my friend Leigh, I have never painted peonies before so it was a little bit of a challenge...all the layers of petals. i am really pleased with the outcome.

I have had this photo for quite some time, today it spoke to me.  I kept the brush strokes really loose and messy for this painting. Whenever I paint something red I always addd fuchsia pink, it just seems to give just a little more definition and interest.
