I can remember when I painted my first cow, it was so very bad, I'm not even sure why I tried painting another, and another...  now they are one of my favourite subjects.  The more I paint cows, the more I love to paint cows.

This fall we didn't do any yard clean up, we had listened to a program that mentioned by leaving all the fallen leaves you are making a healthier life for the birds, bees and earth. I couldn't believe how much action we had in our yard this fall and winter, there were so many more birds busily working in the garden.

Victoria is one of my favourite cities, especially because there are still so many character homes.  Whenever I get the chance I drive the 2 hours to my favourite neighbourhood Fairfield and take as many photos as I can. There was so much detail in the photo that I just started with the larger blocks of colour and then added little bits of detail. So much fun to do.
