I ran into a woman while at the cat rescue in my town, she was actually just choosing a kitten to take home.  We got to talking and she told me about her beautiful 4 year old cat who had passed away a few months ago, then she pulled out her phone and shared some pictures. I had to paint him, his colouring is so beautiful and the pose was perfect.  I used black gesso on the board and I really like how it turned out.
