I am going strong with the sunflower theme. The more I paint them the more I love painting them. There are so many varieties and everywhere I go I seem to see them, from the markets to the farms, even on the side of the road...so uplifting.

These beautiful sunflowers are from the Nanoose Edibles farm, one of my favourite places to go for greens.There was a long row of these beauties that were just swaying in the breeze...so carefree and simply lovely.

These sunflowers are from my friend Elsa's farm, there are rows and rows of flowers and veggies, she even has a charming little bakery.  It is definitely one of my favourite places to go.  I added touches of pink just because I love pink.

I am enjoying using just  three primary colours for my painting. The black gesso panel is definitely a great starting point, I find that I can see the colours much more clearly...and I really enjoy painting sunflowers.
