Last night I was already looking forward to painting my turquoise vase again today, I cut the tulips down so they were more compact.  I played around with the background and like the outcome.

Finally the tulips have started arriving in the stores, they are everywhere. I pulled out my go to turquoise vase and filled it with my favourite flowers, beautiful pinks...just so pretty. I used more paint than usual, and used a palette knife along with my brush.

It was so exciting to paint on a large canvas, yes after painting mostly on 6 x 6 inch a 12 x 12 inch seems huge. This painting is kind of abstract impressionist with lots of colour...really fun.
